The Eerie Charleville Mansion, A Haunting Tale from Shimla

Charleville Mansion, a century-old abandoned fort nestled in the lush green hills of Shimla, has earned its reputation as one of the most haunted places in the region. Built during the British era, this mansion was once the residence of a British officer named Victor Bailey and his wife.

The couple had chosen to live in the mansion due to its low rent, unaware of its dark past. Prior to their arrival, an army officer had resided in the haveli, which sent shivers down the spines of anyone who caught sight of it.

Inside the mansion, the couple experienced strange and unsettling occurrences. They claimed to have witnessed a British gentleman slowly fading away, as well as objects being violently smashed and crashed within the house. These disturbing activities were primarily confined to one of the upper rooms.

After the room had been locked by the owners, they would hear sounds of crashes and disturbances coming from inside. Rushing upstairs to investigate, they would find the room in total chaos - shattered mirrors, furniture tossed against walls, and a general atmosphere of disarray. Terrified, the couple fled the mansion, never to return again.

Years later, when Victor and his wife leased the mansion again, all seemed well for nearly a year. However, one fateful night, when the couple were attending a dinner party, a servant was left behind in the house. During the night, the servant reported seeing an English gentleman wandering through the house. Curious, he followed the figure, only for it to vanish through a closed door - the very same room that had been locked by the previous owners. Disturbed by this eerie encounter, Victor and his wife promptly abandoned the mansion once more, leaving it haunted for eternity.

According to local accounts, a woman occupied the mansion after Victor and eventually sold it to an Indian family after India gained independence in 1947. Since then, residents in the vicinity claim to have witnessed and seen the shadowy figure of someone walking around the mansion, inexplicably vanishing into thin air. As a result, the mansion remains uninhabited and perpetually empty.

Presently, the mansion is owned by an Indian who has undergone renovations, giving it a new name and appearance. However, reports of ghostly apparitions and mysterious shadows persist, solidifying its reputation as one of Shimla's most famous haunted places.

Though some sources claim that the mansion's location is now unknown due to the Indian owner's changes, the tales surrounding Charleville Mansion are enough to send shivers down anyone's spine. Whether or not the stories hold any truth, one cannot deny the chilling atmosphere that surrounds this eerie place.

Meet HD 63433d - The Intriguing Earth-Like Exoplanet

Scientists have discovered HD 63433d, an intriguing exoplanet that resembles Earth, in a recent scientific discovery. This amazing planet is home to HD 63433, a sun-like star that is roughly 73 light years away from our solar system. HD 63433 shares parallels with our sun in size and form, but it distinguishes out for being substantially younger, believed to be roughly 400 million years old. Due to its small size and recent discovery, HD 63433d is a unique exoplanet for investigation. It is the closest Earth-sized planet found to date and the smallest confirmed exoplanet under 500 million years old. HD 63433d appears to be just around 10% of the age of Earth, despite the fact that Earth and our solar system are estimated to be 4.5 billion years old. Image Source: Google The orbital properties of HD 63433d are among its fascinating features. Like our moon is tied to Earth, it is tidally locked to its star. As a result, the planet's dayside, which is always facing the star, experien
